Description: A bulbous Perennial with an upright habit. Aromatic grey-green to bright green leaves are strap-shaped and held at the base of the stems. Many small, star-shaped are a rich shade of violet. The flowers are held in rounded umbels atop slender, but sturdy stems and are produced from late spring into early summer. The flowers are reputed to have a sweet fragrance and are excellent for use as cut flowers and drying. Attractive to pollinating insects.
