Description: A small to medium-sized Deciduous Shrub with a suckering habit and arched, spiny stems. The leaves are oval to Elliptic in shape, and emerge mottled with red in spring then mature to dark green. Small, cup-shaped flowers are a pale shade of yellow and resemble the blossom of Mahonia. The Blooms are held in pendent Racemes and are produced from mid to late spring. The flowers are followed by shiny, orange-red berries in the autumn and the leaves turn vivid orange and red before falling.
