Description: Medium to large, Deciduous Shrub with a spreading habit and dark green foliage that is Elliptic to obovate in shape. Nodding, white, bowl-shaped flowers, each with a cluster of deep red Anthers at the centre are produced from late spring into early autumn. Flowers are followed by bright red fruit with orange seed.

Synonym - Magnolia parviflora

Flower:

Fragrant, nodding flowers are pure white and bowl-shaped and have deep red anthers. Flowers are produced from May into August and are followed by pendent red fruit with orange seed.

Cultivation:

Best in full sun to partial shade in fertile, moisture retentive soil that is well drained. Magnolia sieboldii will tolerate some alkalinity, but performs best on soil that is neutral to acidic.
