Description: Small, Deciduous Shrub with an upright, spreading habit. The leaves are mid-green, flushed with dark red and are ovate to Elliptic in shape. Lacecap flowers are composed of a central cluster of small, rosy-pink fertile florets surrounded by a ring of larger, showy sterile florets that open white and turn pale pink. The flowers will be blue if growing in an acidic soil and are produced from midsummer into early autumn. Hydrangea serrata 'Shojo' is very free-flowering.

Lacecap-like corymbs are composed of a central group of small, rosy-pink fertile florets that are surrounded by a ring of larger, showy, sterile florets that open white and then turn pale pink. Flowers will be blue if the plant is growing in acidic soil. Flowers are produced from June into September.
