Description: A large, Evergreen coniferous tree with a columnar habit and smooth, grey bark. Curved, blue-grey needles are held on tiered branches. The branches towards the top of the tree are ascending at the tips, and gradually become more horizontal towards the base of the tree. Cylindrical cones are pale green when young, sometimes covered with a purple Bloom, then mature to light brown and can reach up to 15cm in length.

Blue-grey needles are nearly upright towards the centre of the branches and gradually begin to curve outwards and up towards the tips of the branches.
