Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Biennial or short-lived Perennial with upright, branching stems. Bright mid-green leaves are biternate and have oval to Diamond-shaped leaflets with coarsely toothed margins. Domed, compound umbels are composed of many small, rich deep purple flowers and are held atop dark, branching stems. The flowers are produced from late summer into early autumn. The flowers are very attractive to bees.

Additional common names - Purple Angelica, Korean Angelica.

Many small, deep purple flowers are held in compound umbels that are domed in shape. The flowerheads are held atop upright, branching stems and are produced in August and September. The flowers are followed by attractive seed heads.
