Description: Herbaceous Perennial with small, aromatic dark green leaves and deep red stems. Abundant lilac-pink flowers surrounded by rosy-red Bracts are produced in whorls from early summer into autumn. The flowers are very attractive to bees and butterflies.

Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Laevigatum means smooth and is in reference to the foliage.

Flower:

Lilac-pink tubular flowers surrounded by rosy-red bracts are produced in whorls on upright stems in June (sometimes earlier) to September.
