Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. Ovate to lanceolate leaves emerge black in spring before turning to deep, rich green with age. Scented, salverform flowers are an intense shade of deep pinkish-red and seemingly glow in the borders. The Blooms are held in dense panicles atop black, vertical stems and are produced from mid-summer into early autumn. Good for use as cut flowers.

Many believe Phlox paniculata 'Starfire' to be synonymous with P. p. 'Logan Black'.

Intense pinkish-red flowers are salverform in shape. The blooms are held in dense panicles atop upright stems and are produced from July into September.
