Description: Fringed Tulip

A bulbous Perennial with an upright habit. Grey-green to mid-green leaves are broadly ovate to lanceolate in shape and pointed at the tips. Single cup-shaped flowers are a deep shade of violet-blue and have a delicate fringe around the margins of the petals. The petals lighten to nearly white around the margins, including the fringe, as the flower matures. The Blooms are held singly atop upright stems and are produced in late spring. Excellent for use as cut flowers.
