Description: Late, large-flowered Clematis

A Deciduous climber with slender, brittle stems. Mid to dark green leaves are pinnate with ovate to oval leaflets. Saucer-shaped, viticella clematis flowers are a shade of rich deep purple. Each flower has a prominent central cluster of golden stamens. The flowers are held in Cymes and produced along the stems from midsummer into early autumn. The flowers are produced on the current season's growth. Attractive to pollinating insects.

Saucer-shaped, viticella clematis flowers are a rich shade of deep purple. Each bloom can reach 10cm across and has a prominent central cluster of golden stamens. The flowers are held in cymes along the branches and produced from July into September.
