Description: Clump-forming, herbaceous Perennial. Triternate foliage emerges maroon and turns dark green with age. Graceful arching stems hold pendent, red, heart-shaped flowers with white tips. Flowers are produced from mid-spring into early summer. The foliage and flowers are held on red stems. Lamprocapnos spectabilis 'Valentine' will go Dormant after flowering.

Flower:

Arching racemes of reddish-pink heart-shaped (flattened pitcher-shaped) flowers with white tips are produced on burgundy stems from April into June.
